Abstract

Subject didactics, part of the discipline Education, is receiving renewed attention. It involves the study of how the educational process concerning a specific subject can be optimalised. Subject didactics in a nursing subject will bring together all applicable facets of didactics, the practical organisation of the teaching situation and the particular nursing content. A number of universities are now offering subject didactics as a separate subject in the curriculum for students in nursing education. An example is given of how subject didactics in community nursing is offered at this level.
